Obituary For Donald Joseph Relland
May 1, 1958 – October 14, 2022
Donald Relland, long-time resident of smith, AB, passed away on Friday, October 14th, 2022, at the age of 64.
Don was born in Nipawin Saskatchewan where he attended elementary, middle, and high school. He graduated from Nipawin Composite High in 1976, and he attended post-secondary training in Calgary to become an Electrician before continuing his education to become a Power Engineer. He worked in Fox Creek for SemCAMS. In his earlier years, he enjoyed travelling and later in life- cards, games of strategy, and music.
He was survived by siblings Theresa (Dennis) Boettcher, Pat Frank, and Geri (Royce) Angus, Bob (Donna) Relland, Bruce (Ruth) Relland, as well as brother in-law Greg Patten, sister in-law Muriel Relland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was predeceased by sister Annette Patten, parents Frank and Lucille Relland, and brother Wilf Relland.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 24th, 10:00am, at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, followed by a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
