It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Herman Umpherville, late of Birch Hills formerly of Weldon, SK on February 22nd, 2022, at the age of 85 years. Donald was born on March 13, 1936, in Glen Mary, SK to Horace and Mariam Umpherville on the family homestead. Donald had 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Donald enjoyed farming and farmed for many years. Donald lived in Weldon for many years, faithfully joining coffee row with all his friends. Donald moved into Weldon Care Home, then to Birchview Nursing Home in Birch Hills, SK. Donald enjoyed meeting his friends and family, and loved a good laugh. Donald enjoyed going out for drives, and he was always willing to help anyone. Donald will be missed by those he knew. Donald will always be fondly remembered by many as “Uncle Donald”. A special thank you to Birchview Staff for the outstanding love and care he received in his final days. Donald will be loving remembered by his siblings Thelma Oczevski & family, John (Dorothy) Umpherville, Lorna Kerec & family, & Floyd (Nancy) & family; his sisters-in-law Jean Umpherville & Emily Umpherville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, friends at coffee row in Weldon, & caregivers. Donald is predeceased by his parents Horace (Mariam) Umpherville; his brothers Charlie Umpherville, Hilmer Umpherville, Walter Umpherville, & Ernest Umpherville; his sister Jean; his brothers-in-law Bill Kerec & Bill Oczevski; his sisters-in-law Joan & Freda Pearson.
