Don, born and raised in Sarnia, in his 95th year, passed away in Petrolia at the Meadowview Villa in Petrolia where he and his wife Anna (nee Flohr) resided their last years. Recently deceased March 2020. Anna remained in Don’s mind daily, and now they are reunited. Don is predeceased by his parents James and Margaret (nee Finn), brothers George and Jack, while his sister Margaret resides in Meadowview. Don is survived by his children Janet (Bill London) and Jeff (Catherine Grace) and was always proud of his grandkids. Jason (predeceased), Dawn, Brandy and Ben. Great grand kiddies included Peyton, Hunter, Waive, Frankie, Mollie, Calum, Hudson and Maelle. Don and Ann loved them all, cherished their time together and only wished we all lived close together. Don retired from Dow Chemical in 1990 and previously at Holmes Foundry. Don’s history evolved from his 45 Indian Chief to family life and a reality of being a good provider, a proficient golfer, a proud Sunshine Foundation member and supporter, and a Triple C Carving Club member in possessing of an amazing skill to make a piece of wood have life. An elite craftsman, gentleman and father. He and Mom will be missed! Friends and great memories are long to be remembered by Don’s family including adventures with Stan and Mary, Win and Hugh, Ross and Alta, Barb and Ralph, Bruce and Janet, Iyla and Bill, the Wiles and Flohr clans, other golfers, carvers, neighbors and associates. Don had a wonderful life. Cremation has taken place. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sunshine Foundation of Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
