Donald Bruce Evans (1945 – 2022)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don Evans on Monday August 29th at the age of 76 years. Don was surrounded by family and friends while he passed peacefully at home.
Beloved husband and best friend of Joyce (nee Sale). Loving father of Carolyn Farley (Jeffrey), Trudi Chenier (Steven ) and Glen Evans (Stephanie). He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his grandchildren Megan (Christopher), Brandon (Jasmine) , Sarah, Kayla (Jordon), Gavin (Kaitlyn) , Curtis (Melaine), Zachary, Ellie, Bryce and by his great grandchildren Riley, Paige, Hazen, James & Sophie.
Also survived by his brothers Dennis (Brenda), Bill (Sandra); several nieces & nephews and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gordon & Jean Evans and by his nephew Gordie.
Don was a long-time employee of Boart Longyear. He enjoyed helping others but what made him the happiest was spending time with his family.
As per his wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Don to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
