Don Blackmore, 83, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The
Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Born in Bell Island,
NL, he was the son of the late Roger and Elizabeth (Morgan)
Blackmore.
Don had a successful career in business and then at the age
of 36, he gave his heart to the Lord and became a pastor. He never
really retired from that calling, the Word of God was his life and he
lived it to the fullest. He loved Friday morning breakfast at the
Homestead with the “Backroom Boys”. Sundays at the Wesleyan
started at 8:00 am and was the pivotal point in Don’s week.
Don was an avid reader of all subjects and loved to watch black
& white movies.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean
not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He
shall direct your path.
Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sandra (nee
Cowe); son Andrew (Jennifer); grandchildren, Danica, Jelena, Bailey,
Morgan, Shelby, Aiden, Jayla, and Jordan; sisters, Dorothy Furey,
Laura Stortz (Orval) and Roslyn Power (Gerald); brother, Walter
Blackmore (Cynthia); as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended
family members.
Don was predeceased by his son, Michael; and his sister,
Shirley Batten (Alan).
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd,
Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service to Celebrate and Honour Don’s life will be
held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 am from The Moncton
Wesleyan Church Life Centre (945 St. George Blvd). A reception will
