Diane Elizabeth Hooper 1948 2022

Obituary of Diane Elizabeth Hooper
Peacefully at home, with family by her side, Diane Elizabeth Hooper passed away on Monday, April 11th, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Murray Hooper. Born in Saint John on June 14th, 1948, Diane was the daughter of the late Frank and Janet Veniot (Farrer). Also predeceased by her brother Francis David Veniot.
Left to treasure so many stories of “her day” are Diane’s children Larry of Red Deer, Alberta, Duane , Janet, and David Hooper (Amanda Preshyon), and her grandson Quentin Vinquist, all of Saint John. Her cherished Shiatzu Precious will miss all the morning kisses, snuggles, and belly rubs.
An avid storyteller herself, Diane also loved to read, and relished T.V. shows and movies from bygone years. She could ace trivia questions about actors with ease. Diane appreciated the challenge of a good crossword, and the creativity that came from knitting. She was always willing to lend an ear, accompanied by her soothing phone voice. She enjoyed the simple pleasures, like sharing a bowl of ice cream with her baby Precious, and having a good chat with friends or a stranger would brighten her day.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, at 2p.m. Interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery.
Donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross Short Term Health Equipment Loan Program. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.BrenansFH.com.
