Nov 12 1950- June 8 2022
Diane Samouelle (Groner) passed away on June 8th 2022 with her husband Lorne at her side at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
She was pre deceased by her parents Albert & Annie Violet (Jo), and is survived by her devoted husband & companion Lorne. Survived by Lorne’s siblings & her cousin Dave Moore & family of Toronto. Diane was born In Toronto Ont. Nov 12th 1950 moved to Victoria in 1968, and has been a long time resident of Oyster Bay.
She was the volunteer founder of the first Campbell River Brain Injury Society meeting place. She provided support to the clients for many years. Diane loved being a member of the local car club. She enjoyed her dragon boating days, yard sales, animals, crafting, and the outdoors.
Cremation has taken place & Diane’s Ashes will be interred with her mother & father in a private service.
Diane was a strong women who faced her illnesses with a positive outlook.
Thank you to all the staff at North Island Hospital Campbell River, Cumberland Community Dialysis Facility, & Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and the Nanaimo Dialysis Unit.
Diane always received excellent care & compassion from all the staff involved with her care.
