ASHBY,
Diane Linda (LPN, retired) – age 70, of Kentville, passed
away peacefully in Valley Hospice, Kentville on Thursday, December 22,
2022. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike; sons, Chris
and Steven; granddaughter, Kennedy; mother, May Melanson; and
brothers, Aaron and Rick Gavel; along with many aunts and uncles.
Diane graduated first in her class in 1971 from the Nova Scotia
Sanatorium and began working at the old BFM Hospital for eight years
on several units before moving to Kings Regional Rehabilitation
Centre, from where she retired after 33 years of service. Diane had
far too many friends near and dear to her to mention here, but you
were very important to her. Many thanks to the staff of Valley Hospice
for their care and compassion. In keeping with Diane’s
wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in
memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line
