Diane Learning March 14 1947 to May 11 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother, Diane Marie Learning, in her 75th year.
Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Jack Learning; brothers, Keith Learning, Paul Learning, Wade Learning, and Brian Learning.
Leaving to mourn her son Andrew Ramsay (Michelle); daughter Amy Ramsay (Aaron Ploof); son Matthew Ramsay; grandchildren Ethan Ramsey and Chloe Ramsay; brother Gary Learning (Susan); brother Dale Learning (Winnie); sister Brenda Warren (Pat); sister Debbie Ryan (Paul); sister Linda Gulliver (Errol); and sister Karan Kennedy (Johnny).
Diane received her machinist certification in 1986, making her one of the few women at this time with that qualification. She then went on to work at MUN’s Technical Services Department making models of upcoming projects. She retired after 25 years of service. Diane had two beautiful grandchildren whom she adored. In her spare time she loved knitting, needlepoint, and keeping up with current world events. Diane had an uncanny ability of remembering her family’s history, and those stories will be forever missed.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday May 15th from 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM. The funeral will occur at Carnell’s Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday May 16 at 1:00PM with interment to follow at Kenmount Road Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
