Diane Godwin-Sheridan Wednesday March 16th 2022

~~~~~~~~~~
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Godwin-Sheridan on March 16, 2022. Diane was a beloved member of the Brockville art community and dedicated her life to helping others. The joys of her vibrant life were her family, friends, and career. Her craft allowed her to share the beauty of the world with her students at St. Lawrence College, private art classes, and classes at St. Lawrence Lodge. She enjoyed volunteering at the Aquatarium, and at General Hospital with her four-legged companion Koda the amazing therapy dog. She is survived by her loving husband David, and her beloved children Dana, Nicholas and Adam.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022 from 1-4 pm. A service in celebration of Diane’s life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 in the chapel.
The service will live streamed for those unable to attend. Go to the Photos/Videos tab above where the webcast link is available at the bottom of the page.
To carry on her legacy of love and caring consider making a donation to Leeds and Grenville Mental Health (Cheques or e-transfer donations@llgamh.ca) or provincial Mental Health Association.
Send a message of condolence or share a special thought of Diane on the Memory Wall above.
  1. We are saddened to learn of Diane’s passing. Our condolences to you, Dave, and Dana, Nicholas and Adam. We remember first meeting Diane when on a “young couple’s” canoe outing, decades ago. Such a beautiful soul that it shone in her art work. God’s comfort and peace to you all. Rest in peace and rise in glory, Diane.
  2. Our most heartfelt condolences to Dave and family on your tragic loss. A blessing in gaelic follows:
    ” Leaba i measc na h-aingil sa bhFlaitheas go raibh a h-anam.”
    “May her soul have a resting place with the angels in Heaven”
