Diane Carol Geldart 19422022

Diane Carol Geldart
1942-2022
Diane Carol Geldart, 80, of Edgett’s Landing
passed away on December 20th, 2022 at the Moncton Hospital with her
family by her side.
Diane was born in Edgett’s
Landing on July 4th, 1942 the daughter of the late Glendon
“Dick” and Eleanor (Milton) Simpson.
Diane was born in and lived in Edgett’s Landing her whole life.
She was close to her family and her sisters and brothers were a big
part of her life. She felt growing up with and living near some of her
siblings her whole life was such a blessing. Not to say they didn’t
have their quarrels sometimes but deep down they knew family was
family and they always had each other’s back. She had a great sense of
humour and loved to tease and joke. If you met her in the store she
would always say hello and usually have a story or two to tell.
Vincent and Diane enjoyed entertaining in the kitchen, as the hub of
the home, they loved music and threw kitchen parties where many laughs
were shared and memories made. Her grandchildren were her pride and
joy and was their biggest fan. When they were playing sports she
always attended their games and could be heard from the stands
cheering them on. She was the most loyal friend you would ever have,
and that’s why she is loved by those closest to her. Diane’s only
weakness is that she cared too much. But that didn’t mean she could be
pushed around, she was stubborn as a bull at times. She had a special
place in her heart for animals especially her dog, Brandy. Her smile
and laugh will be remembered by all who knew her and she will live on
in the hearts of her loved ones forever. She is now reunited with all
who have gone before her.
She will be deeply
missed by her husband of 60 years, Vincent Geldart; daughter, Shirley
Shaffer (Mark) of Riverview; sons, Randy Geldart of Hillsborough and
Terry Geldart of Riverview; her treasured grandchildren, Stephanie,
Taylor (Kairi), Katelynn (Jordan), Heidi and Vincent; her
great-grandchildren, Savannah, Lucianna and Vincent; sisters-in-law,
Phyllis Hicks of Dawson Settlement, Janet Black of Cannan, and
Carletta Corey (Fred) of Petitcodiac; brothers-in-law, John Steeves of
Edgett’s Landing, Merlen Geldart (Carolyn) of Hillsborough. She will
also be missed by several nieces, nephews, all her extended family and
friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
Besides her parents she was predeceased
by her beloved son, Stephen Geldart; brothers, Bob, Gordon, Grant
(Peggy); sisters, Phyllis Weir (Arnold), Glenda Savory (Louie), Susan
Steeves; sister-in-law, Helen Tilley (Ottis); brother-in law, Floyd
Geldart (Marilyn)
