Dhanpatti Persaud
Forever Loved, Remembered and Cherished
It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Dhanpatti Persaud on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the age of 87 years.
Dhanpatti will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her six children, Leila, Roy, Robin, Richard, Pam and Tara; daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; grandchildren, Francine, Astrid, Ashton, Anil, Diane, Ashley and Delia; and her seven great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lalta; grandson, Vishal; her parents, Seeram and Sukhia; brothers, Boyo, Edward, Parasram; and sister, Galo.
Dhanpatti was the eldest daughter of Seeram and Sukhia, born and raised in Triumph Village, Guyana, South America. She was married to Lalta and together they had six children. They were blessed with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She migrated to Edmonton with her husband and two of their daughters in July 1989. Dhanpatti was gainfully employed, loved gardening, music and going to church. Her family was always number one in her life and she stood by them through life’s challenges and successes.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 29, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel.
