Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, with his family by his side on August, 12th 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer, Derrick Phillips, age 60 years.
Derrick was born on March 7th, 1962 in Bonavista, NL.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Bessie and Donald Keats, and father, Calvin Phillips.
Leaving with wonderful memories are his mother, Elizabeth Phillips, daughters, Nancy Bowles (Sheldon) and Kaitlyn Phillips (Brandon). His pride and joy, his grandchildren, Makenzie, Connor, and Harper. His wonderful partner Maria and all of her family who have been there for us in this terrible time; we thank you all so much.
We would like to thank his buddies; Amanda, Adam, Joanne, and Dan for being there for dad in these tough times in the last 6 weeks.
A special thank you to St. Pat’s Mercy Home for their care and compassion, especially Colleen, Kathy, and Mary for going above and beyond and making his transition easier for everyone.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18th 2:00pm- 4:00pm and 7:00pm- 9:00pm. Funeral Service at the Memorial United Church at 3:00pm on Friday August 19th at 3:00pm. Inurnment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
