Obituary for
Dennis Bertrand
The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Friday, March 25, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Shirley (née Vincent) Bertrand. Son of the late Eddy and the late Patricia (née Landry) Bertrand. Loving father of Kevin (Nathalie), Rob (Lisa) and Jodi Hatfield. Dear brother of Loyola (Monique), Joan McGuire (late Denis) and Lois Chaput (Ken). Predeceased by his brother Merrill (Gabrielle). Cherished grandfather of Brandon (Renée), Karly (Alex), Lindsay, Adam and Logan. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dennis was loved by all that knew him. He was an avid storyteller and could sit for hours reminiscing about his time at Inco, his time on the farm in Quebec, his love for horses and his precious family. Dennis was married to his best friend for 57 years. They were blessed with 3 amazing children and 5 grandchildren. In Dennis’ honour, his first great-grandchild who will enter this amazing family within the next few weeks will bear his name. Many memories were made at the Family cottage in Birch Island. Dennis was always at his happiest with a house/camp full of friends and family. Dennis/Dad/Popa…Forever & Ever…Amen. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home Chapel.
