Peacefully and surrounded by his three sons, Dennis Randall passed away on March 27th 2022 at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice in Cobourg Ontario.
Dennis will be fondly remembered by his 3 children, their spouses, and 10 grandchildren;
Jason (Kath), Sara, Madeline, and Amelia. Anthony (Robyn), Paterson and Lawren, (Erica), Luna and Alistair. Ryan (Laura), Rebecca, Robin, and Arthur. Along with friend and mother to his children, Nancy.
Born to George and Margaret (nee Maguire) Dennis fondly reminisced on his childhood growing up with his 5 brothers and sisters in Centreton and Cobourg Ontario. He leaves behind Lois (Dave), Karen (Ken), Dale, Scott (Jennifer) and eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his oldest brother Ron (Gerrie).
Dennis was a builder, tinkerer, and fixer, who enjoyed nothing more than working with his hands on an ambitious project.
As an employee of Ontario Power Generation for over 50 years he saw both the building and acted as the project lead for the demolition of Nanticoke Thermal Generation Station.
He raised his family and lived in nearby Port Dover Ontario. He loved his house where he enjoyed playing horseshoes with friends, watching birds in the back yard, sunsets on the front porch, and sharing apples from his apple tree.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral and reception on April 2nd 2022 at eleven o’clock at MacCoubrey Funeral Home in Cobourg Ontario. Private interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery will follow. There will also be a celebration of Dennis on May 28th 2022 in Port Dover, Ontario.
Memorial donations can be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice where he spent his last days.
