BROOKS, Dennis Ronald – peacefully at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS, at age 50. Dennis was the son of Jean and the late Ronald Brooks, and special friend to the late R. Douglas Rushnell. Father to Evelyn Brooks and Owen Brooks. Loved nephew of Joyce Frost (late Francis Frost, late Stewart Robertson), Marilyn Case (late Alan Anderson, late John Case), Rodney (Stephanie) Anderson, Rhonda Anderson (Dave Middleton), Jean (late Delbert) McComb, Shirley (late Morley) Perry, and Allan (Donna) Brooks; and survived by many cousins, and friends. Remembered by Darlene (Mic) Naphan, Karen (Jim) Whitney, Sheila (Wayne) Davidson, Paul Rushnell, Craig (Julia) Rushnell; and their families. Dennis was a huge sports fan, particularly the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays and the Dallas Cowboys. Visitation will be held at the Rushnell Funeral Centre, 60 Division Street, Trenton on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Service will be held from the Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Lynn Mitchell officiating. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery, Frankford. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Society (ALS), SickKids Foundation, Belleville General Hospital Foundation (Oncology), or Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
