It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Patrick Price, 67, of Sydney Forks announces his sudden passing at the QEII Hospital in Halifax on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, due to complications from a heart attack, with his loving family by his side.
Born February 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Joe and Norah Price.
Dennis spent the majority of his career in the ready-mix industry and was well-known and respected. He was one of the kindest, friendly gentlemen, who never said no to lending a helping hand. When Dennis wasn’t working, he would be found tinkering around the yard or at the garage with Ambrose and friends.
Dennis is survived by his three sons, Logan, Sydney, Daniel (Natalia), Coxheath and Jordan, Edmonton; their mother, Marcella, Sydney; brother, Andy (Linda), ON; niece, Patty Lynn and nephew, Bradley, ON. Recently Dennis took on the name “Papa” when he became a grandfather to Breton who he loved so much. Dennis also leaves behind his step-grandson, Dierks and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 2 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, June 3 at 11 a.m. with Father Bill Burke officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Tom McNeil cancer fund.
Special thanks to the nurses of CBRH ER, Dr. Paul Morrison, and the entire 5.1 cardiovascular ICU at the QEII.
