Obituary
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis Charles Dochstader, 71, of Calgary, Alberta, on August 9, 2022, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved Husband to Linda of 37 years. Cherished father of Ray (Kristeen), Todd, Jeannette, Jo-Ann (Steve), Dawna, and Chad. Dear grandfather to his many grandchildren, Yannick, Erica (Tito), Brittany (David), Chloe, Deavon, Raven, Natasha, Ethan, Kaliya, Chloe, AJ, Peyton, Autumn, Phoenix, Deion, David, Hailey, Daniel, Hannah, Harmonie, and 10 great-grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his 4 brothers, Dean (Shelley), Dan (Denise), Dave (Ronnie), and Doug (Shirley), 1 sister Jeannette and multiple Nieces and nephews as well as many other family and friends that he had a tremendous impact on. Predeceased by his parents Harold (2004) and Lorraine (Gauthier) (1998) Dochstader and Grandson Cody Black.
With his unstoppable determination and infectious smile, he could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He loved the outdoors and throughout the years he spent a good portion of his time camping, golfing, and fishing. Woodworking was one of his coolest hobbies and he created all kinds of treasures. He made plenty for us all to remember. He brought a smile to everyone’s face, every time he would pull out that guitar. He was pretty good at pulling on our heartstrings when he would start strumming along to his favorite songs for family and friends. He will be dearly missed by many, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend and will always feel his presence in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to join his Celebration of Life on Friday August 19, 2022 at Evan J Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE, Calgary Alberta) at 1:00 pm
