Obituary For Dennie Allan McQuaig
Dennie Allan McQuaig, resident of Teepee Creek, AB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in his home, at the age of 78 years.
Dennie was born at Johanna’s Maternity Home in smith, AB, on April 8, 1944. He grew up in Teepee Creek where he married the love of his life and raised his family. Together they farmed and raised cattle until his retirement.
He loved spending time with his family and friends and tending his impressive garden. He enjoyed playing music and played at the senior’s homes with his brothers Ken and Robin, and his sister Shirley. Dennie also took pleasure playing with a band of friends at a variety of locations in the community.
Dennie will be sadly missed by his children: Kurt (Tracey) McQuaig, Trevor (Mihaela) McQuaig, Brent (Carla) McQuaig, Derek (Nic) McQuaig, and Aaron (Amber) Chonkolay; grandchildren: Dylan (Kyla) Brown, Kole McQuaig, Dylan McQuaig, Lexi Halbauer, Brynna McQuaig, Adyson McQuaig, and Clarissa McQuaig; great-grandchild Harper Brown; his siblings: Joyce (Don) Nordin, Shirley Hollingworth, Robin (Shirley) McQuaig, Kenny (Sheila) McQuaig, Kay (Merv) Bauman, Patsy (Tom) Chrenek, Barbie McQuaig; as well as sister in-law Patsy McQuaig.
Dennie was predeceased by his wife Brenda McQuaig; father Scott McQuaig; mother Hazel McQuaig; brothers Donald McQuaig and Craig McQuaig; as well as step-mother Carol McQuaig.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 1:00pm, at Teepee Creek Hall.
