Denis “Dawg” Gravelle
It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing in Chelmsford, Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 57 years. Son of the late Florent and late Noëlla (née Pilon) Gravelle. Dear brother of Diane Gravelle, Donald Gravelle (Suzanne), Lucille Belisle (Claude), Claire Frappier and special friend Louise. Cherished uncle of Marc, Michelle, Danielle, Roch, Renée, Danielle H, Mathieu, Jacob, Zachary, William and great uncle of Noah, Max, Riley and Chloe. Godfather to Bryanna and Zachary.
He will sadly be missed by his in laws the Montesi Family. He will be greatly missed by his two fur babies Molly and Bean.
Denis was a hard working, kind, generous man, willing to help anyone who needed assistance. He was the fun-loving guy at any gatherings with his endless sense of humour and sarcasm. He enjoyed weeks and weekends of camping, fishing trips and partridge hunting with his numerous friends. He had also recently discovered enjoyment in Kayaking.
He spent many years as a heavy equipment mechanic at SCR Mining Company and in the last few years was the SCR Mechanical Supervisor. His bosses Rick and Claude have expressed what a significant loss his passing will have on the SCR family and the organization. He will greatly be missed.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Louise for being there for him.
Visitation will take place at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. To 1 p.m. A chapel service will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to the Sudbury Food Bank c/o Chelmsford Food Bank in his memory.
