Obituary
Denis Desjardins
June 7, 1969 – October 3, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Denis Desjardins. Denis leaves behind his loving wife, Anne-Marie (née Mathieu), and his two incredible sons Nolan (Nate Dedecker) and Riley (Sadie Caplette). Denis is survived by his beloved parents François and Gisèle Desjardins, his loving sister Debbie Lachance and his best bro-in-law, Marc Lachance. Denis will also be missed by his in-laws Garry and Diane Mathieu, brother-in-law John Mathieu and his partner Melanie Reid, and sister-in-law Sonia McDonald and her partner Brian McFadden. Denis comes from a large family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will also miss him dearly. Denis also leaves behind his lifelong best friend Daryl Vaillancourt, his wife Michele, and their girls Katie and Taylor.
Denis’ love for sports, including playing, volunteering, and dedicating so much time to supporting his sons in both hockey and soccer, created countless memories with many friends who became like family over the years. He was a proud member of Osprey Links golf course and loved his family’s home along the course. Moving to Callander five years ago was a dream of Denis and Anne-Marie’s and one he never regretted.
The family would like to thank Dan Raymond, the first responders, and Dr. John Seguin who were all so kind, patient, and supportive with us in our time of need.
A celebration of Denis’ life will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Highview Golf Course (60 Golf Course Line, Powassan, Ontario). The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Denis Desjardins October 3 2022..
