Surrounded by family, at Strathroy Middle General Hospital, Strathroy on Thursday, July 21, 2022, Deborah Schouten (nee Kern) passed away in her 54thyear after a long, courageous battle with illness. Devoted wife to Erik. Loving mother to Nick. Dear daughter to Bob and Alice Kern of Woodstock. Sister to Leslie (Tracey) Kern of Ottawa and Chris (Trish) Kern of Woodstock. Daughter-in-law to Nico and Marie Schouten of Holland. Sister-in-law to Marga, Monique, Theo (Yvonne) , and Richard (Anja) of Holland. Deb will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, Glencoe where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Deb Dolbear-Van Bilsen officiating. Interment at Longwoods Cemetery, Melbourne. Memorial donations may be made to Glencoe Presbyterian Church.
