It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Dawn with his family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Carol (nee Menard) for 62 years. Proud father to Dawne (Bob) LaBell, Robert (Ronda) Dawson, Mary-Jo (Bruno) Santia. Adored grandpa to Gary-Allan LaBell (2020), Vini (Meg) Santia, Amanda (Will) Foot, Selena Santia (Gianni), Rachelle Dawson, Rianna Dawson. Great-papa to his adorable Addisun, Gracie, Moris and Jackson. Predeceased by his parents Gerry & Helene Dawson. Brother to late Terry (Wendy) Dawson, Darlene (Bob 2021) Hollister. Brother-in-law to the late Ron (Donna) Menard, Syd Menard (2020), Charlotte Hawkins, Mary-Anne & Ray Belisle, Joan McLinden, late Barry. Godfather to Renee Penner, Robert Menard, and the late Kendall Hawkins. Dawn was blessed with the love from his nieces, nephews and friends. He retired from Ford’s in 2002 to manage the Lions and Detroit Tigers from his lazy boy chair. Dawn played the horses on his computer, enjoyed his weekly card games, liked his monthly group dinners and all the shows at the Casino but what gave him the most joy was to have his family stop over. Special thank you to the exceptional staff at Hospice of Windsor for their dedicated care and compassion. If you so desire, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor.
Visitation Monday, April 18, 2022 from 2-4, and 6-8pm. Funeral Services on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Families first, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841. Cremation to follow.
