Obituary of David William Clapperton
David William “Honey” Clapperton
February 15, 1971-August 23, 2022
It is with profound sadness that Dave’s family announces his passing after a lengthy fight with cancer at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice. He fought bravely and never lost his optimism or spirit. He was truly admirable. He was the cherished husband of Lisa and her sunshine. (née Montreuil). Loving stepfather and buddy to Justin. He will be deeply missed by his mother Enid. His brother Keith (Patricia), Judy (Derek), Laurie (Steven) will lovingly remember and miss David as well. He had many nieces and nephews and their children, cousins and family he was very close to. He also had and some very dear and lifelong friends who will also miss him. He was predeceased by his father Orlie. Lisa’s family adored him and he will be sadly missed by them as well.
Dave was happiest spending time with his family whether it was hunting, atving or just getting together for a meal. He had some really wonderful stories about hunting with his father. He was an avid game player. He was a gentle man with a kind heart that always brought the best out every situation. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Dave received excellent Health Care during his fight, and his family would like to thank those that helped from Homecare, the VON, the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, and especially Dr. Hailey Moore.
Cremation will be held at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. Respecting Dave’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life later. In lieu of flowers and recognizing the care provided to Dave, his family would ask that Memorial Donations be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home
