David Carleton Irving Pollock of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, surrounded by family.
He is survived by the love of his life Jane, who he married in 1966, and by his three sons, Donald, Timothy (Shauna), and David (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Morgan, Tessa, and Jaclyn; and his great-grandchildren, Charlotte, and James. He is also survived by his sister Olive-Jane and niece Linda-Jane, sister-in-law Sheila (Doug) and their sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hugh, and Olive Myrtle and two brothers.
David was born on April 21, 1941, in Lachute, Quebec. He was a beautiful mind, creative thinker, and environmental pioneer. His family will miss countless things about him including his subtle wit, commitment to family, work ethic, and care in everything he did. His creative mind and God-given abilities led him to a prolific career in environmental research and engineering. His passion for and appreciation of anything mechanical was evident in every aspect of his professional and private life. He expressed and shared himself through his work and was the happiest working in his shop, surrounded by friends and family. He will be remembered for his love of cars, including his 1974 Bronco and 1953 MG.
