David Winston Lenihan
1949-2022
David Winston Lenihan – age 72, of
Kentville, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at home. Born in
Centreville, he was a son of the late Ralph and Laura (Moore)
Lenihan.
David was a long-time member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch. 06, Kentville and a Canadian Army Veteran. He
enjoyed darts, crib, Bingo and umpiring baseball. He spent a lot of
time watching sports on tv, especially the Toronto Maple Leafs. He
worked at ACA for over 20 years. He loved taking his wife to yard
sales and spending time with his
grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter,
Terri Lenihan; grandkids, Isaiah, Jaden, Teanna, Savannah, Nevaeh and
Amara; sisters, Leona, Barbara (Adrien), Lillian (Leroy), Donna and
Margaret; brothers, Ronald (Paddy), Sheldon, Reginald (Ellen), Murray
(Liz), Harry, Garnet (Linda), Ralph Jr. and Robert; as well as many
nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by sisters, Doreen and Betty; and brothers, Duke and
Sheldon.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of
David’s life will be held from 1:30 – 5:00 p.m. on
Saturday, May 21 in the Meadowview Community Centre. Donations in
memory may be made directly to his family to help with everyday living
expenses, which can be sent to Margaret or brought to the Celebration
of Life. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
