WINNINGTON, David William – Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Dave at the age of 68, was the beloved husband of Cathy for 28 years. Loving father of Byron and Shannon, cherished step-father of Crystal, Shawn and Darryl. Adored grandfather of Liam, Braylynn, Chase, Oliver, Adilyn, Ellyse, Tinisha, Brianna, Darnell, Paige, Izayah and Kiara. Dear brother of Maureen McAllister (the late Benny) and Jim Winnington. He was loved and will be missed by many family, and friends. He was known for his sense of humor, his quick wit, his love of music especially for making up his own lyrics to his favourite songs (because he didn’t think they had the right lyrics), and his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He will watch them in the play-offs from up above. In keeping with Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, a memorial donation can be made to the Cancer Research Society which would be appreciated by the family.
