Survived by his children and grandchildren David James Hughes. Loving Husband of the late Bonnie Hebert, Father to David Hughes Junior, Gayle Hughes, Rhonda Hashimoto (Stephen). Brian Gerow, Kim Williams (Michael) John Hughes (Rhonda), Kent Hebert (Dayna). Grandfather of Timothy (Christina), Sarah, Daniel, Tyler, Rachael, Kasia, Carson, Dalton, Meghan, Jacob, Jordyn, Alex and Lexie, Lyla, Aurora. Great Grandfather to Emma-Rose, Marshall & Lukas.
Dave’s Legacy will live on through his Family, he cherished the time spent with Bonnie at their trailer of 40yrs Skyline Tourist Park in Ennismore, On. Dave and Bonnie spent hours taking the grandkids fishing, swimming, playing baseball, Sunset Speedway and Horseshoes & many campfires together. Dave loved Judo and made sure the girls took part in that experience. He loved getting together to play Texas hold’em and poker. Dave enjoyed his daily golf cart rides patrolling the park with the Gary’s.
The loss of his beloved Bonnie was too much for him and adjusting to the new life without her was difficult. He had endured several medical issues that he faced head on unfortunately this last one
proved to be the hardest of his life and Bonnie called for him to come with her and their beloved fur babies.
Southlake Hospital was instrumental in saving’s his life 8 years ago and he knew that every day was a gift. Dr.Teng once again stepped up to assist Dave in his time of need and he we would appreciate any donation to be sent to Southlake Hospital Cardiac and CVIC Unit. The staff took wonderful care of him there. Making sure he was not suffering and in any pain.
It is hard to say goodbye to an incredible kind and caring soul. We will continue to strive to be the best parts of him going forward.
