Obituary
It is with broken hearts that the family of David Gordon Ebbett announce his peaceful passing on May 6th, 2022 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John on April 26th, 1953. He was the son of the late Gordon and Phyllis (Quartley) Ebbett.
In his early years, He was heavily involved in the Fog City Four Wheelers and enjoyed getting out whenever he could. Spending many summers at the camp with his family and hunting in the fall. He loved playing hockey and was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He was well respected and loved his career at the Irving Oil Refinery starting on June 25th, 1973, retiring as Turnaround Project Manager in December, 2010. In Retirement, Gail and David moved to the Village of Gagetown, N.B. enjoying many happy hours renovating their home, boating on the Saint John River and just enjoying the simple life with his family
David is survived by his loving wife, Gail two daughters Jennifer (Chris) Martell, Lindsay (Rob) Lockhart, 4 Grandchildren, Payten Martell, Landen, Evan and Colson Lockhart; brothers-in-laws Gary (Dolly) Beyea, Graham Beyea; sister-in-law Pam Beyea (Dell) and several nieces and nephews. Gail, Jennifer & Lindsay would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Nurses and Staff at Bobby’s Hospice for their exceptional care for David and support for “his girls” during such a difficult time.
At David’s request there will be no visitation or service held. Private burial for the family will take place at a later date. All are welcome to join us in remembering David at his Celebration of Life being held on Sunday, May 29th at the Riverside Country Club 1:00-4:00pm (2524 Rothesay Road)
