David passed peacefully into the presence of his Saviour, with his wife Sandra of 55 years and daughter by his side, on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the St. Lawrence Lodge in his 79th year. David was predeceased by his parents Jessie and Charles Gill.
David will be sadly missed by his son Greg Gill (Diana) and daughters Meghan, Carly, Brianna and Jessica as well as his daughter Shannon Carkner (Neil) and their children Brittany Carkner-Knapp (Thomas), Kaleb, Alexandra and Regan. Fondly remembered by his siblings Betty Osmond (Ron) of Ottawa, Dorothy Janes of Ottawa, Paul Gill (Glenna) of Brockville, Kenn Gill (Cheryl) of Calgary and Brenda Carson (Steve) of Maynard; his sisters-in-law Gail Shillington of Kingston, Donna Crooks (Walter) of Courtice and Joy Gardiner (Doug) of Kingston as well as by many special nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Highway Pentecostal Church, 800 Stewart Blvd, Brockville on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 12 – 2 pm. A celebration of David’s life will commence at 2 pm, followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Covid protocol will be followed with all guests required to register below or by calling our office at 613-342-2828 weekdays between 9 am – 4:30 pm.
Memorial donations may be directed to the P.A.O.C. Missions makeAmark – Highway Pentecostal Church online at www.highwaychurch.net, by phone 613-342-4075 or email to info@highwaychurch.net; or to the St. Lawrence Lodge – Palliative Care will be greatly appreciated by the family.
