It is with a heavy heart that the family of David Franklin Snowball of Mississauga, Ontario,
announce his passing on March 5, 2022. He was 67 years old.
David was the loving husband of Lana La Chappelle and nurturing father to Dean.
He was the youngest child of Ken and Wilma Snowball (nee Preece), and is survived by his Uncle Neil Preece (Mary). He will be sorely missed by his brother Grant (Darlene), sister Carolyn Prange (Terry) and sisters-in-law Sandra Callery (Michael), Diane Smith (Steve) and brother-in-law Philip La Chappelle (Elaine). He was a dear friend to Janice and Bruce Lewin.
David took an enthusiastic interest in the lives of all his nieces and nephews, and for this, he will be forever in their hearts.
David was born and raised in North York, Ontario. He exemplified selfless courage as a firefighter with North York and Toronto Services for 37 years. His younger days were filled with downhill skiing and photography. He loved camping and the outdoors, travelling, woodworking and Formula One Racing. In all of his creative endeavors, he strived for perfection. He will be most remembered for his love of storytelling and his quick wit.
Donations in David’s honour may be made to: HOPE international Development Agency, The Arthritis Society, or the Kidney Foundation.
A Celebration of David’s Life is planned for Friday, May 13, 2022 with details to follow on this website.
