Weston, David Francis 1958 – 2022
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of David (Dave) Francis Weston, of Niagara Falls, on September 23, 2022, at the age of 64. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his father Francis (Frank) Weston and predeceased by his mother Helen Weston. His sons Gregory, Derek (Andrea) and Michael will remember him as a passionate family man. Dave was a devoted significant partner of 15 years to Susan and mentor and friend to her children Rian and Hunter. He leaves behind grandchildren, Reece, Elizabeth, Levi; and numerous other family members and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Dave was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, June 9, 1958. After high school he went on to graduate from Carlton University but found his calling and passion to become a music teacher, teaching guitar. He opened his own music studio in Niagara Falls, Ontario and was able to pass on that love for music by teaching and playing for his family and friends.
After having his sons, he was then hired by the Canadian Border Services Agency. Dave was very proud of his 29 years of service to the CBSA before retiring in 2018. If you ran into him, he was always sure to share a story or two and remind you of every good restaurant stop you had to make when traveling for “training”.
During his life he made sure he was coach to almost every sports team his children and family members were a part of because his love to teach and pass on every ounce of knowledge he gained through his experiences and his legacy will continue through those memories.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 30, 2022 at 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. Funeral service will be held at Morse & Son Funeral Home, on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 2:00pm. A private interment will take place at a later date.
