Obituary For David “Dave” Edward Taylor
David Edward Taylor, loving brother, husband, and friend, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Harbour Grace, NL, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 50 years. Dave battled cancer for the past 3 years.
David was born and raised in Harbour Grace. He moved to Alberta where he worked as a Consultant for the Oil and Gas Industry. He worked hard and played hard. Darcie his wife, family, friends, and Booboo were his life. He lived life large.
David had a larger than life laugh that was infectious. If you knew Dave, you loved him and his heart of gold. He was kind and generous, had a big heart, and always had a smile on his face. He would never hesitate to help someone.
He loved golf, hockey, NFL football, boating and Booboo, as well as a good shed party and occasional Bud Light.
Dave will be sadly missed by his wife Darcie Taylor; his Thunderbuddy Booboo; mother Diane Taylor; sisters Robyn (Tim) Brewer and Zoe (Elvis) Anderson; grandmother Hazel Yetman; nephews: Ryan Brewer, Adam Brewer, Cody Brewer, and Logan Anderson; niece Taylor Anderson; aunts: Jean (Bruce) Garland, Effie Perry, Margaret Cobane; uncles: Jim (Judy) Yetman, Tom (Michelle) Yetman, Ken (Vonnie) Yetman, and Derek (Marcella) Yetman; special cousins Jason Yetman and Terri Stefanyshyn; as well as new addition Zoe.
Dave was predeceased by his father Eugene Taylor; brother Keith Taylor; grandfathers Ralph Yetman and Herman Taylor; grandmother Ethel Taylor; as well as aunt Marian and Gord Walsh;
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 1:30pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Reverend Stephen Laing officiating.
A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Dave’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.
