David Carrol Halliday 1950 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family of David Carrol
Halliday announce his passing on February 27th,
2022. Born in Digby, NS, on June 9th, 1950, he was a son of the late
Carrol and Norma (Abbott) Halliday.
David worked for many years as a financial planner for the
Royal Bank of Canada. He loved to just be present in the moment and
enjoyed the company of many people. A true social butterfly. He was an
avid player of golf, hockey, and bridge. He was a member of the
Fiddleheads bridge club and used to play poker with his mother
frequently.
He is survived by his common-law spouse, Lori Hamilton,
children; Niki (JD) Doyle, Megan (Matt) Holladay, DJ (Vanessa)
Halliday, and Kate Halliday, grandchildren; Mikey, Mia, Nolen, Rowan,
Eilyn, and Lennon, one step grandchild, Sofia, brother, Jack (Alla)
Halliday, special friends; Lynn Johnston and Rick Dickie, along with
many cousins, nieces, nephews, and all of his “adopted”
children that referred to him as a father figure over the
years.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of
Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton NB.
There will be no visitation or funeral by request. If you wish to make
a donation in David’s memory, please do so to the Karma Cat
Rescue, or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
