Peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Sheila. Dear father of Richard, Christy (John) & Scott (Kristin). Adoring grandfather of Kimberleigh (Ryan), Cassidy, Zachary, Abigail, Tristan, Emily, Andrew, & Susie. Loving brother of Donna Kuenzig (John) and Carol Kessler (Sol). Treasured uncle to his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harry (1993) and Eileen (1997) and his niece Krista (2015). David will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Teacher extraordinaire, sharing his great knowledge of history, horticulture, tractors, cars, ice cream memorabilia and overall collectables. His unconditional love and caring was central to his being.
David loved nature, and was a proud member of the High County Tractor Club and Ice Screamers of America.
Many thanks and much appreciation go to the staff at Headwaters Dialysis Clinic for their loving and kind care, especially Kelly, Paul, Tanya and Ben.
Funeral Service will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St. Orangeville on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at 2:30 pm. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations to Headwaters Health Care Centre – Dialysis Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of David in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
