David A. Day – age 82 was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. David passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, January 27, 2022. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was a longtime employee for Trailways, Greyhound and retired from K-Trans. He was a member of Strawberry Plains United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Mary and Avery Day; sisters, Faye Bible, Juanita Hughes, Ruth Birdwell; brother, Lawrence Day. Survived by wife of almost 60 years, Bebe Faye Day; daughter, Tina (Jim) Lowe; son, Clint Day; grandsons, Jon (Courtney) Dhaene, Josh Dhaene, Dylan Dhaene, Tommy Dhaene; brother, Harold (Sharon) Day; sisters in law, Betty Lee, Kaye (David) Wyrick, several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and UT Hospice for their care. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with service to follow at 1:00 pm at Bridges Funeral Home then processing to Eastview Memorial Gardens for graveside service with Rev.
