David Alexander Longaphie
1936-2022
David Longaphie of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home formerly of
Riverview passed away on Friday, December 23rd at The Moncton
Hospital. Born in New Zealand, PE he was the son of the late Joseph
and Charlotte (Gregory) Longaphie.
He is
survived by his children; Claire Jamieson and Robert Longaphie,
sisters; Elizabeth-Dallas-Gallant and Mary Broten, grandchildren;
Teri-Lyn Allard (Serge) and Scott Jamieson (Jessica), great
grandchildren Jack, Ben, William Allard and Reese Jamieson. Besides
his parents he was predeceased by 3 brothers; Daniel, Kenneth and
Joseph and a sister Margaret Estabrooks.
Dad’s career comprised RCAC 8th Canadian Hussars, Firestone
and Worker’s Co-op. He volunteered as past member of RCL NB
Command and past executive member Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6
Moncton and the Gyro Club, Riverview
We would
like to thank the staff of Spencer’s Memorial Home for his
care and a special thank you to the Palliative Care Staff (3600)
Moncton Hospital for their compassionate care.
Donations in his memory may be made to Parkinson’s
Foundation or the memorial of the donor’s choice
Respecting his wish cremation has taken place at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-2007) and interment will be at later date.
