David A Leavitt 1955 2022

It is with
great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of David A. Leavitt of
Oak Hill, NB announce his passing on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the
Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen,
N.B.
David was a
son of the late Donald and Geraldine Leavitt. David lived in Chamcook,
NB all his childhood, and then moved to Oak Hill where he made his
home.
David
started at a young age working in the woods. He left the woods to go
to Oak Bay Park where he worked as a maintenance foreman and then to
New River Beach campground, until his retirement. He worked hard all
his life.
David loved
the outdoors, fishing, hunting and his camp. He especially had a
strong relationship with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He
loved them all.
He is
survived by his loving wife Darlene (Erskine) Leavitt, son Richard A.
Leavitt (Loretta), daughter-in-law Maggie Leavitt, grandsons Devon and
Cole, granddaughter Cadence and several great-grandchildren, sister
Rita (Stan), brothers, Eddie, Raymond (Val), Sheldon (Danielle), Roger
(Darlene), several nieces and nephews.
In addition
to his parents, David was predeceased by his youngest son Dave,
granddaughter Natalie, brother Robert, and sister-in-law
Gloria.
Funeral
service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home
Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at
2 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday
from 12 Noon until service time.
