It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of Darryl Rushnik, after a short battle with cancer.
Darryl will be lovingly remembered by his partner Julie; his daughter Krystal (Kevin) and his grandsons Ethan, Zack, Carter and Biscy; his brothers Brent and Gary; his sister Lisa (Kevin); niece Rheanna and nephew Rylan, and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gary and Linda.
Darryl was a generous, kind-heartened soul, with a passion for hockey, that he shared with his grandson, Ethan. There was nothing that would keep him away from every practice or game; it was one of his loves.
He had countless friends, with whom he shared great times back in the day at concerts and live shows. He just couldn’t pass up a rock show with plenty of laughs.
He took a lot of pride in his craft as a house painter and had a flair for renovating, which kept him busy. He loved to travel to many places and couldn’t wait for the next winter to get away to the next sunny beach with great friends and plenty of shenanigans.
He quietly made his mark with his generosity and will forever be with us in our hearts. Love you Darryl, Dad, Papa, and friend. Krystal, you are his true love; he will be with you always.
