Darlene Judith Marshall of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Menrod ‘Roddy’ Marshall, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the age of 76 years. She will be missed so very much by her husband, Roddy and sons, Rory (Laural) and Shane (Fatoula) Marshall; grandchildren, Katelyn, Ryan, Madison, Nicholas, Anna and Olivia; and great-granddaughter, Wesslyn Ward. She is also survived by her brother, Jack (Peggy) Stelter as awell as numersous nieces, nephews and other extended family. Darlene was born on January 21, 1946, a daughter to Johnnie and Annie Stelter whom were long-time residents of Bindloss, Alberta. Darlene married Roddy Marshall on July 24, 1965 and they lived in Acadia Valley. She loved to play both the piano and organ and taught lessons to many local students. In 1997, they retired to Medicine Hat where she resided until the time of her passing. A Celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 -13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating. A luncheon will be held in the Cook Southland Reception Facility following the interment. Memorial donations in Darlene’s name may be made directly to the charity of your choice.
