Darlene’s Obituary
Katherene Darlene Hosie passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on May 16, 2022.
She was one of four siblings of Francis Ashley Tutt and Stella Marie McGrath. Darlene was born in Kitchener, Ontario. She grew up with her two sisters: Shirley and Lovada and her brother Frank. She started building her life at a early age with her loving husband James Fredrick Hosie at 22. At that time she was working at General Springs, Kitchener. Shortly after they bought a small farm outside of Markdale where they raised their 3 beautiful children: Jamie, Brenda and Daniel. Darlene was a woman of faith, compassion and pure love. She would go out of her way to make sure that everyone was taken care of before herself. She loved to donate to impoverished countries and the local food bank to better those in need. Her generous spirit and love will never be forgotten by all those that she touched. She enjoyed sharing grandma days with her grandchildren, making sure that her grandchildren had an enriching time with her. Darlene’s love for her family was more than anyone could imagine. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will forever be missed and loved.
Darlene leaves behind, her three children: Jamie, Brenda and her husband Markus, and Daniel and his companion Lorraine. Her grandchildren Nicholas and Jessica. Also survived sister Shirley. She will be greatly missed by family and friends who have had the honour of knowing her and learning from her.
