Darlene Cameron 1938 2022

Darlene Cameron – 84, Truro, passed away peacefully
on Sunday, August 21, 2022, Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro. Born in Perth, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Clarence
and Helen Ranger. She was married to Hugh Cameron for 45 years, who
predeceased her in 2002.
She was most proud of her six children, Darlene (Bunny)
Louka, Dawn (Larry) Branswell, Theresa (Roddie) MacLeod, Corrina (Roy)
Cormier, Hugh, Heather (Robert) Wilson.
Darlene and Hugh lived many years in Baddeck where they were
very active members of the Legion. Darlene continued in her Legion
work prior to her move to Truro in 2019 to be closer to family. She
lived with and was cared for by her daughter, Theresa and her husband,
Roddie.
Darlene is survived by her three daughters, Dawn, Theresa,
Heather; nine grandchildren, Megan Cormier, Lacey Cormier, Carrie
MacLeod, Ryan Cameron, Nikki Cameron, Alex Branswell, LauraBranswell,
Tabatha Wilson, Charlie Wilson.
Along with her parents and husband, Darlene was predeceased
by her daughters, Corrina Cormier (September 2019), Darlene (Bunny)
Louka, (June 2020) and her son, Hugh Jr. Cameron (January
2021).
Interment will be held at a later date in Big Baddeck, Cape
Breton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
