Darlene Ann Mason 1953 2020

Mason, Darlene Ann, age 66, of Purlbrook, Antigonish County,
passed away on March 23, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Stewart
and Rita (Snook) Fraser.
Darlene was a familiar face at the Casket newspaper for more
than a decade until she became ill. Always with a smile and positivity
no matter the struggle, the strength, courage, and sheer will she
exhibited over the ensuing years was unparralled and an inspiration to
all. She adored her grandchildren and deeply valued the time she was
able to spend with them.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Mason;
daughter, Kelly Cameron (Travis Oulton), Moncton; sons, Shane
(Melissa) Sangster, Raleigh, North Carolina; and Tyson Sangster
(Joanne Dueck), Prince George, BC; grandchildren, Cody, Colton, Ryan,
Alexis, Sydney, and Rylee; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kash, and Emma;
and sisters, Trudy (Tom) Glenn, Bonnie (Dan) Cogger, Tena (Rick)
MacGrath, Rita Fraser, and Valerie (Angus) Mattie.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be
held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 10:00am in C.L. Curry Funeral Home,
135 College Street, Antigonish, with Fr. John Barry
presiding.
In Memoriam, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation (Dialysis Unit)
appreciated.
