Obituary of Dan Menard
(Founder Beaumen Industries, Renfrew)
With heavy hearts, the family announces that following a brief illness, Dan passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital with his family by his side on Wednesday evening, June 30, 2022. He was 78. Beloved husband for over 57 years of Vivian (nee Beauregard). Dearly loved Dad of Kristine Blohm (Dan Warren) and Darlene Freamo (Marc Séguin). Cherished and proud “Grandpa” of Kyle and Tyler Blohm, Justin Greer and Wesley Freamo. The last surviving child of the late Oliver and Gertrude Menard, Dan was also predeceased by 10 siblings. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Special brother-in-law of Lillianne McEwen (Wendell) and Hilaire Beauregard (Suzanne Rousselle). Dan was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Rosario and Hélène Beauregard as well as many of their family members. An entrepreneur at heart, Dan spent many years building and operating Beaumen Industries in Renfrew. He enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with friends and caring for his many feline buddies who will miss him dearly. Dan’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, July 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning, July 7th from 9:45 to 10:45. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Dan, please consider a donation to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
