Daniel Vanover, age 46 of Knoxville, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was a Giant to many, especially to his wife and family as a beacon of light and love. He was of interdenominational faith and a member of The Avenue Church in Morristown, TN. The love Daniel had for Christ was easily seen through his many acts of kindness and display of God’s love to all he came in contact with. He loved playing sports and played basketball at Campbell County High School where he was selected All State his senior year. His love for basketball continued, playing at both Carson Newman and Tennessee Wesleyan University. After college, he played defensive end for the Knoxville Thundercats Arena Football team. He was previously the owner of Diesel Maxx Performance Products and Slingshot Concrete Pumping. The last four years of his life he worked to help families buy and sell homes as a realtor for Realty Executives Associates.
Daniel is preceded in death by his Father and Mother-in-Law, Ronnie and Glena Whittaker.
Daniel leaves his loving wife of 18 years, Jennifer Vanover; loving parents John and Linda Vanover; brother, Jason (Keisha) Vanover; brother-in-law, Jeff (Kaylin) Whittaker; sisters-in-law, Jessica (Andy) Anderson and Julia Childers. Daniel was loved by and will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his two sweet dogs, Gracie and Twinkie.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2022 with a service to follow at 7:00 pm at Bridges Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Graham officiating. The family will also receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, March 21, 2022 at Lafollette Church of God. Graveside service will be held at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 3:00 pm.
