LICHTY: Daniel S. – formerly of Brussels, passed away peacefully at his residence in Greenwood Court Long Term Care, Stratford on Saturday August 6, 2022, in his 94th year. Daniel was a member of Zion Mennonite Fellowship.
Beloved husband of the late Vera (Brenneman) Lichty who predeceased him January 30, 2022. Dear father of Mervin (Nucharee) Lichty, Marie (Mark) Schrock, Miriam (Mark) Graber, Mark (Cathy) Lichty. Cherished grandpa of Michelle, Destiny, Kendra, Julian, Fabrice, Derek, Becky, Heather, Jeffrey, Austin, Ryan, Allison, Dustin, Anthony, Daniel, Allan and great-grandpa of Braeden, Ashton, Owen, Isaac, Noah, Abigail, Alice, Kyna, Maverick, Megan, Jake, Chloe, Skylar and Campbell. Remembered by his brothers and sisters Amos (Dorothy) Lichty, Samuel (Mary Ann) Lichty, Rebecca (Ian) Woollett, Norman (Clara) Lichty, Ruth (Ken) Brown and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mahlon (Anna Mae) Gerber, Emma Lichty, Dorothy (Delmar) Lichti and Marilyn Brenneman. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and Tillie Lichty.
Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Mary (Schmucker) Lichty, his granddaughter Angela, siblings Nancy Roth (Jay), Jacob Lichty (Eva), Anna Kirby (Carl), Mary Gerber, Katherine Lambert (Leonard), Emmanuel Lichty, sisters-in-law Annie (Emanuel) Ropp, Mary (Jacob) Jantzi and brothers-in-law Mahlon (Kathy) Brenneman and Earl Brenneman.
Visitation will be held at Zion Mennonite Fellowship, 44902 Cranbrook Road, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 1 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Donegal Mennonite Fellowship, 7021 Perth Road 147 on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with the Ministry of Zion Mennonite Fellowship officiating. Interment in Mount Zion Cemetery.
