Daniel passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on October 13th, 2022 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Andree (nee Garneau). Proud father of Patrick (Jane Coyle) and the late Daniel McDermott. He will be sadly missed by brothers John (the late Marguerite) and Craig (Suzanne) as well as his nieces and nephews.
Daniel retired as a Staff Sergeant with the R.C.M.P.. An enthusiastic Tinkerer, he had 2 true passions, Aviation and Underwater Diving. He served as the Past President of the Rockcliffe Flying Club and enjoyed his recreational diving as part of the Fort Erie Underwater Recovery and SCUBA club.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. There will be a celebration of Daniel’s life at the Bridgewater Golf Club (Thompson and Gilmore Rd. Fort Erie) on Saturday November 19th from 1-3 pm. Eulogies will take place at 2 o’clock. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
