Obituary
Dan Lubarsky passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022 at the age of 94 in Edson Alberta.
Dan was born April 3,1927 to parents Mike and Esther Lubarsky in Edmonton, AB.
On August 25, 1952, Dan married his loving wife Anne Maureen McCulloch. Together they resided in Edson and started a family. Through his years he held a few jobs. In the late 1940s he worked for SNA Lumber as a Mill Operator.
In 1950, he started with the CN as an Engine Hostler then moved on to be an Engine Fireman.
On May 31,1952 he became a Locomotive Engineer which continued to his retirement at the age of 61 on January 1, 1988. After retirement, Dan enjoyed fishing, playing pool, woodworking and gardening. He was an active member of the Edson Elks and belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion. He loved to play cribbage and he and his wife Anne attended many Cribbage tournaments throughout the years. His family will treasure his great sense of humor, his stories and his smile that would light up any room. We have been so blessed to have had so many wonderful years with him.
Dan will be forever missed by his children; Sons, Rick (Debbie) Lubarsky, Barry (Debbie) Lubarsky; Daughter,
Melodee Jahner (Doug Johnson); Grandchildren: Jason (Leighia), Steven (Jodi) Tyler, Barry (Pam)
Michael (Tammy) Curtis,Dustin (Amanda), Tanis (Clayton), Jayden (Travis); As well as 15 Great Grandchildren;
Siblings: Nancy Tipman (Ken), Noreen Vanderveen.
Dan was predeceased by his loving wife Anne Maureen (McCulloch) Lubarsky in 2010, As well as his parents
Mike and Esther Lubarsky, his brothers Leo Lubarsky, Bill Lubarsky, Morris Lubarsky.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkland Lodge.
At Dan’s request, there will not be a funeral service.
