Obituary
Daniel Leonard “Dan” Barsalou, aged 64 years, passed away at his home on Thursday February 17, 2022 in the country, that he helped create. He loved his home and workshop, he did so many overhauls in the workshop to help keep the farm going. Bless him now his pain and suffering are finished.
Daniel is survived by his loving mother Lillian, sons Dwight, Dexter and Donovan (Rachel), granddaughters Kassandra, Miya, and Lauren, brother Dale and by his father Denis Barsalou. He was predeceased by his brother Dwayne Barsalou.
Dan did many motor jobs for his brothers and sons. He had his own way of thanking people, mostly by doing a favor or by showing what he had learned on life’s journey.
He did a lot of renos in his home and workshop. Dan always had another idea to make things easier to work with.
You will be missed forever Dan. Mom is so happy to have your dog “Bear” to keep me company.
A Celebration of Dan’s life will be held at his home yard outside of Mariapolis. A bonfire and wiener roast are being planned for family and friends. Dan’s youngest son, Donovan, will give the eulogy and guest speaker Eugene Ross, a Dakota Elder from Sioux Valley, will give a tribute to Dan. A special tree will be planted in his yard in Dan’s memory. As Dwayne always said “Catch you later” because he never said goodbye.
