Dana Patrick Ward
1966~2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Patrick Ward. He unexpectedly crossed over to the spirit world on January 18, 2022, at his home in Metepenagiag First Nation at the age of 56. He was born at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 13, 1966, to Mary and Everett Ward. Dana was known to everybody in his community and town of Miramichi, as a person that would be the first one to give a helping hand to anybody who needed it. He was our protector, and we could always rely on him for everything, and he would help without any hesitation. Dana was known for his wonderful smile, his big bear hugs, and his constant reminder of ‘I love you’. He was never afraid to show his love and appreciation to his family, especially to his children Aleshia (Richard), Madison and Zack. He always loved his wife Vicky and appreciated her for always taking such good care of Madison and Zack. He often spoke of his beautiful grandchildren Mya, Serena, and baby Rich.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Everett Ward and his nephew Tanner Cloud.
Dana will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters, Brenda, Wanda (Amondo), Sandy (Arnold), Lori, Delbert (Helen), Ronalda (Lisa), Mindy, Dwayne (Nicole) and Darwin (Claudette). Along with his nieces and nephews, Rainier, Destiny, Arnelle, Alissa, Roman, Tanner, Channing, Gracie, Angel, Lucy, Ty, Evan, Eden, Everett, Draeden, Duke and Dariana. Also, his great nieces and nephews, Kiley, Eva, Faith, Sage, Vanek, Mila and Nova.
A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

I was so sorry to just hear of Dana’s passing. I really liked and admired him. I apologize for not attending his celebration of life. As i mentioned I just found out. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones. Johnny Holmes.
